Soapbox Gin's brand stems from the story of Joan Holdship. A 60's housewife who desired to break from the traditional housework routine. Through tenacity, she created her own bathtub method gin with homegrown fruits. To get round the Gin Act of 1751, Joan sold her gin on the black market, disguising her product in various cleaning boxes.

Backed with this strong brand story, the design of Soapbox Gin encapsulates the fun and vintage identity which naturally transcends to like-minded drinkers. This simplicity in colour scheme, type lockup and image treatment reflects the time period within the story; but also polarises an already over-elaborate gin market, therefore differentiating from the competition.
